Gold Rush Entertainment brings the Gods of the culinary world to Bangalore

Gold Rush Entertainment announces the launch of the international food festival World on a Plate with the illustrious chef’s from Australia- George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston at JW Marriott Bengaluru. The weekend of June 4th will see these culinary masters interact with the food enthusiasts of Namma Bengaluru over a bevy of activities and a master class!The nouvelle cuisine extravaganza at the JW Marriott and UB City will introduce the people of the city to the most influential connoisseurs of global cuisine.























Speaking on the occasion Kiran Soans, CEO of Gold Rush Entertainment said, “At Gold Rush Entertainment we believe in bringing quality experiences to our consumers. Our previous association with George Calombaris to Bangalore was a raging success. This gave birth to the idea of World on a Plate with all the three faces of the show- George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston. The weekend promises to be an exhilarating experience as they take fans in Bangalore on an exciting and inspiring culinary journey”.

Bangalore’s favourite Australian Chef -George Calombaris said “I am very excited to be back in India. I love the food here and can’t wait to explore new flavours and cuisine, especially my favourite dish- Jalebis / Vadas. During my last visit, I was thoroughly impressed and excited by the originality of the food and can’t wait to share my experience with foodies in India”.

Gary Mehigan added “The diversity of India’s food palate is absolutely fascinating. I am looking forward to cooking for our patrons in India and also gorging on some flavor-some dishes. Indians are exposed to so many flavours of cooking; I will consider my job done if I see smiles across faces of guests at the World on a Plate food festival”.

Matt Preston known for his love of Indian cuisine said “I love a variety of textures and flavours. I am a firm believer that amazing recipes and culinary techniques are held as much by home cooks as great chefs in restaurants. Inspired by the Indian home-style technique, I will be cooking Coorgi style chicken from a small yet significant part closer to Bangalore and I can’t wait to hear the comments and feedback that I can take home with me.”
























With World on a Plate, Gold Rush Entertainment brings a truly global experience into the country, building on the people’s love for all things food and international. Matt, George and Gary being synonymous with culinary brilliance, were the perfect choices to bring a taste of international flavors to the country.

Schedule for the festival:

Day 1 - June 4th shall see the Master Chefs take one hour exclusive Master Classes where they will walk guests through the preparations of their signature dishes. This shall be followed by an exclusive tete – a – tete with George, Matt and Gary where they will answer all culinary questions posed by guests at the festival.

Day 2 - June 5th promises to be action packed with two prestigious competitions scheduled for the day. Head chefs from restaurants from across the city shall compete in a cook – off with the wining dish being decided by Matt, George and Gary in a blind tasting. The winning restaurant shall be awarded the title of the “Restaurant of the Year”. Alongside this, a “People’s Choice” competition is also scheduled to take place, with restaurants wooing their patrons to win the prestigious moniker of being the People’s Choice of the Year.
