Planet Earth II, one of the most awaited show of the century, will premiere in India on Sony BBC Earth from18th September Monday to Friday at 9:00PM. With a 9.6 rating on IMDb, the series is a spectacular journey through 40 countries, shot over 2089 days with 117 filming trips!

Narrated by the Godfather of Natural History – Sir David Attenborough and set to a beautiful music score by Hans Zimmer, the series takes the viewer closer to the most inaccessible places of the natural world – from jungles, deserts, mountains, islands, grasslands to the cities through advanced filming technology. Planet Earth II features India and its diverse landscapes and wildlife prominently in several episodes.

The premiere of Planet Earth II is supported by an engaging 360-degree marketing campaign with presence across major TV channels, along with out-of-home, on-ground, OTT platforms and social media platforms.

Sony BBC Earth has partnered with one of the largest multiplexes in the country, INOX, for the first-ever theatrical screening of the series across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Pune. The channel has also tied up with the electronic megastore – Croma, which will showcase the grand visuals of the most dramatic moments from the series across all TV screens of the 94 Croma outlets.

Sony BBC Earth has also planned a unique and ‘funtastic’ experience for social media. The channel has got on board wildlife enthusiasts and influencers who will create ‘Feel Alive’ content for online platforms to WOW the visitors.

The channel has roped in Indian Oil as the presenting sponsor for the series, which is co-powered by Perfinza by MRF. Dell Inspiron and Seagrams 100 Pipers Music CDs are the associate sponsors.
