Zoya presented “Musee Du Luxe” collection at Paris Fashion Week, SS 2018
Zoya, The Exquisite Diamond Boutique from the House of Tata, renowned for its craftsmanship and design, presented its latest collection - Musee Du Luxe, in collaboration with eminent fashion designer Manish Arora for his 10th anniversary presentation at Paris Fashion Week. The partnership was born out of an intrinsic synergy in design philosophy and the contemporary, international outlook shared by both brands.
The ramp witnessed a glamorous edge with jewellery from Zoya’s Paris themed collection - Musee Du Luxe - Museum of Luxury, a collection inspired by the cities’ sublime architecture, rich culture and inherent joie de vivre. Engraved padlock on Pont des Arts Bridge inspire a statement layered necklace set, embellished with brilliant cut diamonds set on three gold tubes. The graceful moves of a ballerina are immortalized in the form of a pendant with a bed of rubies layered with gold net and fine diamonds.
The selection at Manish’s show also included pieces from other classic collections such as Krsna, Banaras, Awadh, Jewels of the Crown, Egypt, Celestium and Fire. Zoya’s jewellery was carefully curated by Manish with an aim to complement his collection; statement necklaces, rings, cuffs, bangles, bracelets and earrings, each piece added a fine sparkle to the runway.
A rich palette of psychedelic colours and kitsch motifs in garments that combine traditional Indian crafts like embroidery, appliqué and beading with Western silhouettes carry a definitive imprint of Manish’s distinctive design. Combine the unique concoction of hues that are Arora’s trademark with Zoya’s outstanding craftsmanship and the result is an eccentric amalgamation of high-fashion and understated luxury.
Zoya’s Business Head, Amanpreet Ahluwalia, says “At Zoya, we have an unwavering focus on distinctive design complemented by the finest stones and craftsmanship. The partnership with Manish Arora mirrors the ability of both brands to span elegant, understated luxury as well as vibrant and colourful motifs, while keeping the design direction contemporary and relevant. What better way for Zoya to debut internationally, than at the prestigious Paris Fashion Week, and with Manish who has been a great fashion ambassador globally for India.”
Manish Arora adds, “My Spring Summer collection for 2018 is my most luxurious collection ever. It’s inspired by a girl who is ready to love. It is so in sync with Zoya’s handcrafted jewellery that it feels like they’re made for each other - be it the Parisian-inspired Musee Du Luxe collection or their upcoming Whispers from the Valley collection which will be launched next. I look forward to many more collaborations in future with Zoya.”
