Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor organises PET-A-THON to raise money for helpless animals
The Rotary Bangalore IT Corridor, organized a PET-A-THON to raise money for the helpless and abandoned animals. It was a fun-filled event where pet parents participated with their pets in a half a kilometre walk. This year the theme was “Adopt Don’t Shop”, aimed to inspire people not to buy but to adopt dogs. The main idea was to raise money for the helpless animals. This year the organisers invited a dog behaviourist to talk about behavioural pattern in pets.
A veterinarian Doctor also
addressed the gathering talking about common health issues related to pets. The
event also witnessed a pet flea market, where dog goodies and
accessories were displayed for sale. Pet owners had a chance to buy those
accessories for their beloved pets.
Petathon is a curtain raiser for
Bengaluru midnight marathon, where they call all the pet parents to
participate with their pets. Bangalore Midnight Marathon is
scheduled to take place on December 10, 2016, at KTPO, Whitefield,
Bangalore.
Shri Vimal Sharma, RBITC Chairman 2016-2017 said “PET-A-THON
is an initiative to raise awareness about pet care among the society. We want to
raise voice for Pet adoption through this initiative. RBITC is proud to partner
with Precious Paws and PetStepin to support pet adoption drive. With the funds
raised through Pet-a-thon, RBITC aims to support the organisation to create
better infrastructure for foster homes of pet animals.”
